A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Me Killing You

This episode is the season finale of Being Human and it was AWESOME!!! At the end of last week’s episode Bishop attacked Aidan with a stake. He narrowly missed his heart so Aidan is still alive but very, very week. Josh and Sally take him to the hospital; to the basement where Josh usually changes into a werewolf. Josh brings Nora there and asks her for blood. She wants to take Aidan upstairs to be operated on but Josh and Aidan both insist he just needs blood. She’s confused but finally relents and steals blood for Aidan.
Meanwhile, through flashbacks, we learn how Josh and Aidan met. It seems Marcus attacked Josh outside of the diner where Josh worked. Aidan came to his rescue. He tells Josh it doesn’t have to be the way it is…they can live together…try to be human together. We see Josh and Aidan walk by the apartment as Sally looks through the doorway at her body being transported to an ambulance.
Back to the present, Aidan tells Sally not to hang around; to go back to the apartment so she doesn’t miss her door (the door that ghosts get once they finish their unfinished business, so they can move on). Sally finally agrees to go only to find her door gone. She missed her chance.
There is an unexpected side effect though. Sally can now hold things. She has become somewhat solid but it takes concentration. People can’t see her but she can hold and move things.
Nora confronts Josh about the baby, telling him she has decided to keep it. He’s happy but tells her he can’t really commit the way she would like. He’d like to but he can’t. She tells him she feels alone in this because he “can’t” tell her his secret.
Bishop confronts Josh and tells him he needs him to pass a message onto Aidan. He wants to fight Aidan and tells Josh the place and time. If Josh doesn’t, he knows where his family lives …
Josh relays Bishop’s message to Aidan and Sally. Aidan decides this needs to be done; should have been done a long time ago. Sally and Josh don’t like this one bit. Sally suggests to Josh that he should attack Bishop when he is the wolf. Josh agrees. He and Sally plan to have Bishop think he is meeting Aidan in the hospital basement. Instead wolf Josh will be waiting…to tear Bishop apart. Sally’s job is to close and lock the door once Bishop enters.
Josh leaves Nora a letter… basically a good bye letter. She sees him heading to the hospital basement and follows.
Turning things around even more, Aidan pressures Sally into tricking Josh. Aidan has her tell Bishop a different location to meet him. Sally reluctantly goes with Josh to the hospital basement…then locks him in alone. Josh is not happy but is in the throes of the change…becoming the werewolf.
Nora finds the door closed and opens it. She walks in to find Josh starting to change. She is confused, scared, worried all at once. Josh is terrified of hurting her and pushes her out the door. She watches him change through the window. Then she is hit with pain…in her abdomen. We see blood and she falls to the floor. The wolf and Nora look at each other through the space at the bottom of the door.
I assume the baby started to change as well. It’s never actually said what happened. In fact, I’m assuming she had a miscarriage but that isn’t said either. What we do know, is now Nora knows Josh’s secret. She seems to take it pretty well. They even talk about how the relationship has a chance of working now that the secret is out in the open. I think I would have freaked.
She asks Josh how he became a werewolf. He tells her the story about camping in the mountains and how it killed his friend but just scratched him. A scratch was all it took to change him. After Josh leaves, Nora pushes up her sleeve. It seems that when Josh pushed her out of the room for her protection, he scratched her. I suppose the question now is; since he wasn’t fully changed will she still become a werewolf? In the BBC version, the answer is yes. Let’s see what happens with the SYFY version.
Back to Aidan, Bishop and he fight. It’s not looking good for our hot vamp. Sally decides to step in and use her new found ability. She has a stake in her hand. Bishop startles her and she phases, the stake falls from her hand. That was the distraction Aidan needed. He attacks Bishop from behind and beheads him. Bishop turns to dust.
The three are back at the apartment. They are sitting in the burnt out living room and the door bell rings. Aidan answers it and the Dutch he saved is there. He tells Aidan that SHE wants to see him. Aidan is now the head of Boston so of course she wants to see him. Who is this mysterious SHE?
I guess we have to wait till next season to find out…
